Palm Springs International Film Festival
January 4-15
Hollywood descends on Coachella Valley for this two-week celebration of the cinema. In addition to screenings and panels, the fest will offer film inspired dinners, a family day and more. This year’s honorees include Barbie director Greta Gerwig, Killers of the Flower Moon director Martin Scorsese and Poor Things star Emma Stone.
Napa Truffle Festival
January 12-15
Experience the magic of truffles while savoring some of the finest truffle cuisine in the world paired with magnificent wines amidst the splendor of world-class Napa wineries. You can learn firsthand how to work and cook with truffles from the best Michelin star/master chefs. Also explore a working truffle orchard and see where and how truffles are harvested, and even meet the trained truffle dogs who find them (petting allowed).
Fog Design + Art

Hosted at Fort Mason in San Francisco, this event celebrates today’s most significant creatives and leading contributors to the worlds of design and visual arts. The fair will assemble 45 leading international galleries, prominent 20th-century and contemporary design dealers and a weekend of exciting programs.
2024 SLO Cal Open at Pismo Beach
January 22-28
At this pre-qualifying World Surfing League event, both male and female surfers will compete for $70,000 in prizes. Nearby Vespera Resort will host a sunset viewing party on January 27.
Riverside Lunar Festival
January 27-28
It’s the Year of the Dragon and downtown Riverside on Mission Inn Avenue will celebrate the largest festival in the Asian community.
